Happy Mother’s Day
After church, I stayed with the Littles who took a nap while Gina took the Bigs shopping for some clothes. We meet them at Park Meadows and let them all climb around in the buffalos and bears they have there for the kids. Gina was looking for a picture with the clan so we took a few before heading over to Mimi's Cafe for dinner. Happy Mother's Day, Gina!
Birthday Wishes
Thanks to everyone on Facebook for all of the birthday wishes! We had an enjoyable day going to church for Easter, then over to White Fence Farms for some fried chicken, and then just relaxing around the house yesterday afternoon. Got a few things done, nothing extravagant, just enjoying our time together!
Birthday Eve
Gina surprised me with a date night last night at Dazzle Jazz here in Denver where we listened to Ben Haugland do a set for his CD launch party, enjoyed dinner, and relaxed on into the evening. 38th celebrated with my bride!
Don Francisco and Honor Choir
Hannah sang at a benefit concert for JOY International last night. The headliner was Don Francisco and Hannah's choir sang with him as a result of a relationship between Don and Claudia Porter, Hannah's choir director.
As I was watching last night, I couldn't help but think of Chuck and Peggy Rook, friends of ours from St. Louis. Turns out that, after I came home last night, Gina explained that Claudia Porter knew the Rooks, the Ingrassias, and possibly others from the North County church planting days. Interesting how these intertwined relationships follow you wherever you go!
Murder Mystery Dinner Night Out
Anthony and Jolene hosted quite a bash last night. Everyone was dressed in character for dinner and a whodunit. Tons of fun and Jolene is a great cook!
